the SEVEN society policy
It is of utmost importance that the Studio SEVEN staff witness a self-motivated, dedicated, hard working individual driven by their personal love of dance, not that of their parents. If a lack of interest/excitement persists in a dancer, a parent/faculty/student conference may be called to identify the child’s goal before the company year begins.
FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS: If a dancer does not fulfill the entire years obligations, be prepared to pay for the entire year’s expenses up front.
TUITION PAYMENT: SEVEN Society families are REQUIRED to have a credit/debit card on file to process automatic payments. NO EXCEPTIONS. Payments will be automatically deducted via the card on file from time of enrollment through May. Studio SEVEN will NOT be utilizing an averaged payment option.
CHOREOGRAPHY FEES: A fee of $100 per dancer/per dance will be charged to each account. These will be paid that the time of setting choreography. If you’d like to pay with another method other than the card on your account, please notify Angela in advance and pay before the date of choreography. If not paid before, the card on file will still be charged
COSTUME FEES: The final cost of costume fees is dependent on the number of routines the dancer is placed in. This number will be determined on or after SEVEN Society Placement (auditions).
COMPETITION FEES: Please pay attention to your year at a glance. Competition fees will be due approximately 3 months prior to each competition. Fees differ for each competition. Studio SEVEN will provide you with a cost breakdown for each competition and their due dates as soon as they become available.
LATE PAYMENT: If tuition payment is not received by the first of each month, a $10.00 late fee will be applied to the account each week until payment is received in full. This policy will be strictly enforced.NOTE: If a card is declined on the 1st of the month, we will continue to process the payment until it has been received.
WITHDRAWAL / REFUND: Studio SEVEN dancers are required to complete a full, one-year season. If the withdrawal from SEVEN Society is chosen due to ANY circumstance, a refund will NOT be given. A “reworking” fee of $200 may be charged for dancers who are unable to fulfill the one-year commitment to help offset the expense of re-blocking, adjusting choreography, etc. as well as allowing the Studio SEVEN to borrow the dancer's costume if needed for a fill in. If a dancer does not fulfill the entire year's obligations, be prepared to pay for the entire year’s expenses up front.

Please note…they may be asked to occasionally stand in a formation, but otherwise they may sit. (Fever free without the assistance of a fever reducer medication.)
If a fever is present (within the last 24 hours), throwing up and/or contagious, we ask on behalf of all our dancers that you NOT bring them to class.
Studio SEVEN must be notified by email on the day of absence.
COMPETITIONS/CONVENTIONS:
SEVEN Society will attend up to 4 regional competitions and up to 2 conventions within Oklahoma and surrounding states. Each scheduled competition/convention is mandatory for all Society dancers. In addition, Studio SEVEN may attend a National competition in the summer. Competition/Convention fees will be due at least 3 months prior to each event. All travel fees, hotel/food/rental car expenses are at your discretion and done on your own for all out of town events.
Additional Competitions, not required by Studio SEVEN, are encouraged for solo/duet/trios or small groups. Please email the studio with dancer(s) name, event, date of event, and routine name. Remember that competitions do sell out, so make sure to notify us 3-6 months prior to the event to register on time. Parents should be aware that most competition companies require reservations 6–9 months in advance, along with a deposit to secure a competition spot, when requesting participation in additional competitions. Once you are billed for the event and payment is received, you will be registered. Participation in optional competitions does not guarantee that an instructor will be present at the event.
Regional Competition Fee Estimate (subject to change)- $70-$105 per dancer per group
Convention Fee Estimate (subject to change)- $90-$375 per dancer per convention
OBLIGATIONS:
Being a member of SEVEN Society is an honor and commitment. 110% is expected from each member and parent for a successful year. Please make sure you fully understand all requirements and obligations before joining the SEVEN Society.
The directors of SEVEN Society assume you are planning to take part in the entire season. If for some reason you think your child will drop out due to placement, DO NOT AUDITION or be prepared to pay for the entire year’s expenses at once to fulfill the contractual obligation.
EXPECTATIONS:
ALL SEVEN Society members will be treated the same, with the same expectations regardless of age. Hard work, attendance and discipline will be demanded since joining competitive groups at Studio SEVEN is a choice and an honor.
It is vitally important that Studio SEVEN maintain a healthy competitive environment for our children. This can only be achieved when we have 100% commitment from everyone involved. One’s inability to commit will affect all members of the SEVEN Society.
Being part of the Rising SEVEN team means working together and honoring the commitments that help the entire team succeed.
STUDIO SEVEN TRANSFER STUDENT POLICY:
Any student may transfer into our studio as a SEVEN Society member with the fulfillment of a private audition if Society Auditions are missed.

GENERAL ELEVATE COMPANY REQUIREMENTS:
Competition classes should take priority over other extracurricular activities. To help families plan ahead, we provide a Year-at-a-Glance calendar at the beginning of the season outlining all important dates and commitments.
Families whose dancers participate in school, church, or other activities are encouraged to share this calendar with teachers, coaches, and sponsors so they are aware of Studio Seven’s schedule and competition commitments.
Please keep in mind that dancers who are stretched too thin may struggle to balance multiple responsibilities. Because competition teams rely on every dancer, we ask that competition commitments be treated as a priority whenever scheduling conflicts arise. As a team activity, each dancer plays an important role, and an absence can impact the entire group.
Tardy & Attendance policy: A private lesson (at the expense of dancer/family) with your instructor or an assistant must be set up after you have been tardy or absent to a Society Rehearsal or Society required class (more than 10 minutes late or absent) if deemed necessary by an instructor. While this is meant to help the dancer stay up to date with their choreography and any changes made in the missed rehearsal, it does NOT help them with formations, spacing, transitions, etc so please continue to make class attendance a priority.
We are now implementing a “3 Strikes and You’re Out” policy. Dancers with 3 absences in the same company class per semester (before/after winter break) will no longer be eligible to compete with that routine.
Any dancer missing the last rehearsal before a competition WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE with no refund/reimbursement from Studio SEVEN/ dance competition. ALL SEVEN SOCIETY REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY
All financial obligations must be met promptly and are not optional.
LATE FEES WILL APPLY ON OVERDUE ACCOUNTS. ($10 per week. Max $40 per month)
Overdue accounts will not be eligible to compete, with no refund/ reimbursement.
Dancer Placement: Dancers are placed in their routines based on their current ability level, age and learning potential. Placement is not an argumentative issue. ANY NEGATIVE REFERENCES, including phone calls, text messages, emails or social media posts, REFERRING TO SOCIETY PLACEMENT OF YOUR CHILD OR ANYONE ELSE’S WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FROM STUDIO SEVEN.
Conversing in a negative manner towards SEVEN Society members, faculty, Studio SEVEN families, or any other connections with Studio SEVEN will not be tolerated and will be cause for dismissal from Studio SEVEN.
Studio SEVEN’s biggest concern is that your child possesses a personal desire to be involved in our performing arts program. Please thoroughly explain all guidelines and expectations for company to your child, regardless of their age, so that there are no misunderstandings throughout the year. Collective effort and parental involvement is required for success.
